kerala bans sand mining What For ?
if you have seen our great bharatapuzha
you will realise the futility.
that river is full of sand and carries little water.
near thirunavaya it is a sea of sand . and we
decide that no one should use the sand.
either we are born fools or great schemers
working for aliens.

I think sand mining has not been banned fully in Kerala.A control is good for any activity that cause irrecoverable impact on nature especially on rivers. If untrammelled mining is allowed ,people start exploiting it indiscriminately not only from tirunavaya but from any place. But I doubt how the Govt. is going to manage the situation by harnessing one among the two mutally warring elements, the incessant affinity for showing extravaganza in house building and indiscriminate sand mining?
